This webhost is the worst that i have ever seen.. They say that they have 12000 domains registered with them, but i dont think so because their forum is empty.
The speed for the host is totally crap.
Dont try and get hosting from these people.
They have not even given me my money back

They offer a money back guarantee, but they don’t honor it.

The reasons why our Forums are empty, is because we started a fresh and clean site. With all the new companies under one.

I am another frustrated old user of Hostingplex, now stuck with non-support from the new owners.
I was having trouble with my email accounts and asked for help. Since then, I haven’t been able to log on to cpanel, and continue to get the runaround from support.
Paul, if you’re still paying attention to these postings, you DO have problems at your company and support is NOT what it was as Hostingplex.
Talk about a crappy hoster. Don’t even think about paying for hosting with them. My websites have been down 70% of the time. I always put in support tickets asking them whats wrong and they say “Hardware trouble, should be fixed soon”. Now i can’t even access my server! Sure there prices are good, but that’s all you’ll get out of them. DO NOT PAY USE THEM AS A HOSTER!
Hostingplex used to be great before the merger … Now it’s a piece of crap !
I’ve experienced all the above and I still am. As per today, I have no websites up, no cpanel access, no FTP and no mail. This assholes offered me 2 extra months of hosting for 1 month of downtime … And they acted as I was supposed to be thrilled by their generosity.
STAY AWAY !!! I won’t renew my subscription. I’ve had enough …
I tried to get a refund after multiple outages and they refuse. This company is the worst ever. They will not be in business for long, don’t waste your time (I switched to Telus) but my HostMDS account is still “active” because they refuse to refund my money. This morning I got this emai from theml:

If you have a site backup with you, please send us the backup link in ticket with subject “Server14 Restore” and we will restore your account to the new server at once.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this crash. As it is a rare and isolated issue, it is taking time to resolve but we are working on it 24X7 and we expect some good results from recovery center.

HostMDs is a bunch of scammers who refuse to let users cancel their accounts. This means they steal the money that the credit cards that are on file.
As far as tech support is concerned, there isn’t one. No one responds to email and if you actually call, the people never speak proper English.
I feel really bad because HostVector was a great host before the merger. Now HostMDs is destroying everything, and worst of all, they’re stealing money from the previous customers.
Good price for hosting but terrible service..my site stays down a lot…i’m ready to switch..but i really need to get a full back of my site..if it ever comes back online.

Absolutely terrible. My sites are slow (when they’re actually up), and responses to support tickets typically take 12 hours or more, and then the response is “Are you still having trouble?”
They used to have forums, but now just get re-directed to their homepage now when trying to reach them. I think they just got overwhelmed with people complaining.
Just don’t go near them.
There must be specific issues isolated with your problems. Our infrastructure has been very stable for quite some time. If you are having issues with your service, please escalate them to me personally and I will help resolve your issue with our teams.

why not hire real staff who know the hosting industry, it seems you guys would rather make up excuses. HostingPlex & VistaPages were good companies, with some issues here and there. You guys have killed those brands and then brought in another fraud company (HostMDS).

After a year now, I just decided to leave HostMDS for another hosting company. The stress is finally over with HostMDS. I feel HostMDS stole my money, my time and energy trying to solve problems that shouldn’t have happened, besides HostMDS jeopardised the trust I had with my client.
Stay away from HostMDS.
If you’re looking for reliable services with great support - keep looking, you won’t find it with HostMDS.
Uptime is horrible, for the past week my site been down three times (about 24 hours each), during one these downtimes MySQL databases got damaged or whatever happened to it - I lost about 3 days of site and forums postings. I asked HostMDS support to restore it to the date the server went down; turns out they didn’t have any backups. I guess their “once a day server backup” is a complete phony.
Tech support is horrible, even if they respond, most likely they will redirect you to someone else and it will take them a day or two to respond even to critical tickets.
Few days ago they suspended my account because I used WP-wall plugin for WordPress. The settings were set to minimum (about 30 seconds refresh rate), so the server wasn’t overloaded and no harm was done by this script. So, instead of asking me to lower the refresh rate or asking me to remove this script they suspended my whole account; none of my sites worked for a day with the message that account is suspended, and I host quite a few websites for other people – my users started to panic, because they though I didn’t pay for the hosting, as it said to contact billing support, and that all their sites and information got lost. That was not a pleasant experience… To keep this story short - support is the meanest I ever seen, they probably never heard of phrase “customer is always right”.
Stay away from this company. I curse the day they bought Hostingplex (the original company I used for the hosting).
This is the WORST hosting company known to man hands down garbage in a stick. Back when it was Hostingplex before the total meltdown it was a pretty decent company with a substantial uptime and friendly helpful customer service. When Milienium Data took over in November 2008, almost a full year of hot steaming garbage occurred. I mean server hacks, server transfer issues, DNS configs, you name it, it happened to me. Recently today after 3 months of trying to call I was blessed with someone answered the phone for once. Boy was she a winner for technical support, not only did she degrade me, she also wouldn’t assist me in transferring domains until I opened up a ticket with Opensrs.com Compliance Officer because guess what? HostMDS is not an authorized Registrar, they wholesale from Tucows. Something they don’t mention in there contracts etc. Horrible service, horrible attitudes, with a you broke it attitude we won’t fix it. Just plain out horrible to the point it made me cuss.
They stated on multiple occasions that I “never” called, then I told the girl that I “never” called because they “never” answer the phone. She also stated that I had been receiving free hosting and that I had a past due because of their clerical errors. Well I made sure I didn’t pay one damn dime to them and I made sure my AMEX made sure they didn’t try to pull any shenanigans.
After a 5 day transfer hassle and getting with godaddy because they sure did make sure to get back at me and make me wait the full 5 days to transfer my domain… These guys are plain out terrible. Anything that guy Paul replies to is a damn lie. Don’t listen to these guys it’s all lies. Your talking to a guy whose dealt with them on multiple accounts for almost a year since they merged in November. Right before I had a client of mine register with hostingplex.com for a 2 year special, her email never works, her website never functions and it’s always YOUR problem kind of attitude.
Get yourself the fastest rocket powered car and run for the hills from hostmds.com. Did I mention that back in November 2008 they were getting multiple attacks on their servers because they probably pissed some hacker off? Well I had to deal with that hackers BS because I got that excuse for 4 months after November 2008. From November 2008 to Feb 2009 my email worked maybe 2 weeks total.
I use hostmds for their dedicated server service. For less than $10 a month I get my own dedicated server and it ROCKS!
Of course, you have to know how to install everything yourself, but what a great service they offer! And they take paypal subscriptions, which is great. One last thing I have to worry about when I go to the bank!
HORRIBLE customer service!! 000webhost had deleted my account without prior notice! files werent backed up.. all this time and money spent on building the website were for nothing!! Couldnt get a hold of a live person!!.they say there is no sign for an account or website hosted on their server.. but they have been hosting is for 2 months. i plan on advocating my experience with them ANYWHERE online.. blogs.. social media.. internet sites..! Please do not sign for account if you want your info secure!!!
Have been with HostMDS since they took over Vistapages. Downtime has always been higher than I would have liked but I persisted with them because they’re cheap. As I write this however, my site has been down for almost 2 days, and the only response I get from support is “We apologise for the inconvenience…we are investigating the matter…”. Not sure when or if my sites will be coming back up at this stage and I’m in the process of transferring my domains to another host. I strongly recommend people stay away from HostMDS unless reliability isn’t a priority.
